New video shows how paid consultants grossly exaggerate economic benefits of carbon dioxide pipelines

Public officials beware: In a new 27-minute video, University of Iowa economist Dr. Silvia Secchi reveals some of the bogus techniques used by “independent” consultants to exaggerate the benefits of carbon dioxide (CO2) pipelines while ignoring costs. This is a case study of a report by Ernst & Young (EY) of the proposed Summit pipeline in the Midwest. Using slight-of-hand techniques, the EY study exaggerates the economic benefits from the proposed pipeline, ignoring the costs. Watch the video here:
